That is Potato Man... Potato Thriller January Update
So many new features and changes in my upcoming game "Potato Thriller" yet so few updates here on the blog! As always, I will start today's blog post off the same way I usually tend to start off my blog posts and that is often by me apologizing for the lack of updates. Yes. Sorry about the lack of updates here on the blog. I am definitely not updating as often as I want to.
I have been working on my new game "Potato Thriller" almost on a daily basis in my free time whenever I get a chance to do so. It is getting kind of ridiculous. This originally started out as a small game back in October. The game has since of course became a lot bigger now with more levels, more features, and an actual storyline. I even recently added a simple auto save feature to the game because it would just be annoying to have the player restart all the way from the start each time they booted up the game. A save feature. It sounds like a feature that is just suppose to be in the game regardless. Like that is just a feature that you should always have in any game. The reason I am making it sound like a big deal is because like I said earlier, this game originally started out as a really simple, short, one level game that could be completed in maybe ten minuets or so. A save feature was never needed. Now since the game has grown to be much bigger it definitely is a necessary feature.
Anyway, I don't want to ramble too much in this blog post. This blog post is just a small update to let everyone know that I am still working on Potato Thriller. I wanted to do a vlog earlier but never got around to that. I seriously need to start doing more youtube updates. I want to. I will try to get a video update out later on.
Quick Rundown of things:
Potato Thriller has expanded so much since my last blog post. It will probably be my biggest game yet (in terms of size, amount of levels, etc) I have decided that I will post this up later on to Steam and try to get it greenlit. I will do this probably sometime before the end of this month. Hopefully sometime next week? That is the deadline I will try to shoot for. Still no exact estimated finish date for Potato Thriller as there is still so many other things I am currently adding to it and still want to add to it. There is a lot to this game. I don't want it to be just another unity first person game where you walk around with a flashlight and wait for a jumpscare to happen. Although the game seems like it is very weird (and it is turning out to be a very strange game) I am trying to do more with it.
That is Potato Man
The character in the screenshot posted above in this blog post is Potato man by the way. I never showed potato man before. Potato man is one of the main villains in Potato Thriller that you will encounter throughout Potato Thriller.
There is nothing to see?
I have been posting about this game for a while now here on the blog. I have pages for it set up over at indiedb and gamejolt. I am now even saying that I want to put it up on steam later on. However, very little is known about this game. I have shared very little information. I only have a few screenshots up and about a 1 minuet trailer which also barley shows anything. I am trying to show as little as possible for this game. The current screenshots and trailer are really almost nothing from the actual game.
Thanks for reading. More updates coming soon.

Potato Thriller (P.T.) Trailer
Introducing P.T - "Potato Thriller". Here is the trailer for my upcoming Silent Hills P.T inspired horror game that I will be releasing sometime this month. The game is almost finished and I am really excited to get it out soon. The trailer shows almost nothing from the game. I don't want to ruin the surprises.
I will post updates in this post later on. Currently working on getting the game setup over at gamejolt.com and indiedb.com. More updates soon!
UPDATE: Game page added to IndieDB and GameJolt.

I have also updated my "3d artwork" page on the blog and added some new artwork I recently created for my hide n seek winter game.
Here is my latest render I created with Blender and rendered with cycles.

"Forest Soup" is my short horror game. Releases real soon.
Hello again everyone.
11 days ago I announced that I put my horror game project "Almond-Hill : Silent Meow" on hold so that I can begin working on my new short horror game project for Halloween. Since that last post I have vanished from my blog and even the Unity forums. On that day I began working on my new short horror game project right away. 11 days later I have made amazing progress and have already done so much for my new short horror project. It was hard for me to stay away from my blog and not reveal anything about the game at all. So it feels like I have been working on this short horror game project in secret.
However, today is the day I finally reveal my short game project and discuss the details. I even already created a short teaser trailer for the game.
So lets just start with the trailer have a look for yourself.
My new short horror game is called "Forest Soup" as you can see by the above image. I plan on having it fully complete and released by the end of this month just in time for Halloween. It will be released for PC/Linux and Mac completely for free.
The storyline I came up with is simple and kind of silly but it works for me.
Story: "Forest Soup" is a game about this boy named Oliver OliveTree and his magical flying pet creature named Fogo. Oliver and Fogo become hungry as the day nears its end. The two characters decide to make forest soup for dinner, a legendary soup that has a taste that is out of this world. The two eventually realize that they do not have the ingredients to make this soup. Fogo tells Oliver that all the ingredients can be found at a place called "Black Cloud Island". Fogo takes Oliver to the entrance of the island where the game begins. Take the role of Oliver OliveTree and skydive down below to this mysterious place called "Black Cloud Island" in search of the ingredients for the so called Forest Soup.
I know what your thinking but yes this game is a horror game despite its storyline. :)
I was somewhat inspired by The Legend of Zelda Skyward Sword to create this game (A personal favorite wii game of mine and im sure a lot of other people to).
Characters:
Oliver OliveTree: The main character for the game. He can skydive and even poses a unique inflatable hat!
Fogo: Oliver's magical flying creature that lives above the clouds. Fogo is a unique creature that cannot travel below the clouds because his magic flying ability is powered by clouds. If he goes below the clouds he will crash down below.
Like my Almond-Hill Silent Meow project, I am developing this game with Unity Playmaker. And Like all my previous games I am working on this project solo.
My goal with this short game project is the same as my goal with my Almond-Hill project. That is, create a unique horror game that is not just another slenderman game. This game will be truly unique.
Feels good to finally show what I was working on since the first day of October. I can't wait until I finish it and have it out. Once again the game will be fully complete and released for free by the end of this month so stay tuned.
Thats all I have for now. More updates real soon.
